1)Leave me a comment saying "interview me".
2)I will respond by asking you five questions of a personal nature (I might ask you some tough questions).
3)You will update your LJ with the answers.
4)You will include this explanation and an offer to interview someone else in the post.
5)When others ask to be interviewed, you will ask them five questions.

1. Fire Emblem or NFL Street?
Fire Emblem for sure. The plot is terribly Japanese, but at least it has a plot. I also much prefer tactical strategy games to football.

2. You seem to like politics, why?
There really is no easy answer to this, of course. The first part, my practical involvement: I care a lot that the various groups that I'm a part of are running smoothly, and the only way to influence whether or not they run smoothly is to become involved. Of course, I'm not particularily good at dealing with large groups of people, which is why I have a definite preference for committee work. At this point, I'm really enjoying being an old hand: being a political insider gives me a valuable knowledge monopoly that I can use to assist people, and allow me have an entirely different kind of gossip to play around with.
Second part, my academic interest: I am interested very generally i how humans organize thenselves and construct their societies. Ideally, I'd eventually like to come to some theoretical point where I could use Psychohistory (read Foundation by Asimov, you'll understand), although I don't think that's possible. Politics is generally what is most visible in society: and depending on how you define the word, politics has a lot to do with even informal kinds of organization. Politics is also where it's most predictably possible to make a difference in society: the political process can be influenced by outsiders somewhat reliably, whereas the cultural or social processes can be extremely unpredictable in response to a given stimulus.
I may easily be forgetting something, or this may require a certain amount of insider knowledge to uderstand. Feel free to ask questions.

3. If another room opened up as a gaming lounge, would you still stop by?
Of course. Not as much, I admit, but I am interested in you guys as people, not just as providers of video games. After all, I did stop by to see you sometimes last year, when I had the Nathan lounge available.

4. Where would you like to travel?
I'd like to go back to Vienna, and then head NW into Germany. Britain-Scotland. The low countries. Maybe Scandinavia, although that might be strange if people mistook me for a local a lot. Outside of Europe....interests me a lot less. Especially because it isn't particularily safe to travel, especially for an American, in many places.

5. Pie or cake?
Generally depends on the varieties concerned. Pie is very hit or miss for me: either it's really good or really bad. Cakes are generally more acceptable, but but a god cake just isn't on the same level as a good pie. Especially not if the pie is fresh.

you also have loved this meme hard, so it's difficult to come up with questions.
1.What made you decide to move to Madison?
2. What role does Jewishness (I can't seem to come up with a better word), both/either as religious and/or cultural identity, play in your life?
3. How do you view your involvement in BSFFA's political life, now that it's over?
4. L5R or D20? And no, you may not say "Oriental Adventures" as a compromise choice.
5. You've mentioned, in previous questions I believe, that becoming a dancing, writing, besuited barkeep was part of inventing yourself as the person you wanted to be. How did you decide that was what you wanted to be?

For some reason this meme resonates with me. That or unemployment's definitely not working out for me.

hmmm... you've done so many this might be somewhat difficult.
1. Do you consider yourself a geek/dork/nerd? What does this mean to you?
2. If you could not work, would you? What would you do instead?
3. What makes a movie "good" to you?
4. If you could change something about Madison, what would you change?
5. You seem to represent yourself through multiple iconic animals and plants. Which is the most important to you and why?

hmmm.....my questions will be rather shallow, I think, since I don't know you very well.
1. How is graduate school academically?
2. And socially? Is it defined by academic field?
3. What is your opinion of Beloit College?
4. What is your attraction to roleplaying? Do you still roleplay?
5. Will the South indeed rise again?

1. How has being an RA changed you?
2. What's your reaction to the various letters to the editor concerning BSFFA that you've published? (not individually, but as a collective)
3. To sound like a broken record: Do you consider yourself a geek/dork/nerd? What does this mean to you?
4. How do think of your social group? What identifies it from other groups?
5. What are your plans for the summer?
