A victory, in the nick of time

The last ten days have been up and down. Spending good time with friends and family alike, and agonizing over my situation here in the Cities.

My midmonth paycheck was very late, which caused me to overdraw my bank account (there's still something I find suspicious here, but I just don't think there is anything I can do about it). This has caused no small amount of financial anxiety on my part, as you might imagine. Especially as I bought the bed on credit, assuming the paycheck would come on time.

Fortunately, I just received a wonderful phone call that means I'm getting my old position back on the 8th. It's really outstanding news, because if I can hold it for even a little while I should become completely financially solvent again. Plus, it's just better work.

Thanksgiving was fun, with the notable exception of picking several hundred rotting pears off of my parents lawn. My parents bought a 13lb turkey for three people to eat, so I have a rather large amount of leftovers shoved into my fridge.

Other than that, my life is kind of boring. I've currently rather obsessive about a new webcomic I've discovered, Order of the Stick. Highly recommended for D+D geeks (if you don't know D+D, I doubt it is worth reading). Since I don't work until the weekend, I'm considering taking a more extensive vacation in the next few days.

I think that's about it.
